What I liked most was the way the story unfolded through multiple perspectives. It gave me just enough information to keep me hooked, but never the full picture. I was constantly switching between theories, trying to piece together who was telling the truth. Kubica’s writing is sharp and easy to fly through, and the tension never really lets up.
The characters aren’t always likable, but that’s part of what made the book so much fun for me—everyone felt flawed, real, and capable of hiding something dark. And the ending? It delivered that satisfying aha! moment I look for in thrillers.
For me, this was a solid 4 stars. Fast, entertaining, and full of secrets, Just the Nicest Couple was exactly the kind of binge-worthy domestic thriller I was hoping for.

Quotes
The truth sometimes lies in what we don't say, rather than what we say
The news puts this on because it's what people want to see. It's a sickness. It's not that the world is innately bad or that bad things happen more often than good things. It's that we're drawn to bad things. Death sells.
